Scarecrows
It’s that time of year again. Corn mazes, scarecrows, and carved pumpkins mark the passing of summer and the beginning of fall. Spiced cider, hot chowder, and fruit cobbler comfort us against the chilly weather.
I love autumn because it’s the time when school starts, when leaves change colors and fall, and when life gets back to normal.
This year, normal seems like quite a shock. I’m so tired! But the smiles of the kids I work with seem to cheer me and encourage me enough to get up the next day and start all over again.
These scarecrows are so cute. I think I’d like to give something like this to my secret sister at church. I found this picture on webshots.net.

What would you do for a free book?
I love books! It’s a good thing that I’m a teacher, because me classroom gives me space to store all of my new books.
A fellow bookmoocher is giving away a free book called “Life Is An Attitude: How To Grow Forever Better” by Dottie Billington, and if you blog about it, you get an extra entry. Yay for me!
Comment on what you would do for a free book. Then go check out bookmooch.com.
