This is the latest site I’ve been trying out. It is called Swap Tree. You list the item you have (movies, cds, and books) and the site arranges for you to trade. This is similar to another site where I swap books. (http://www.bookmooch.com) I love Bookmooch, but I can’t swap other media there. If you want to check out Swap Tree, please click on the link below so I can be your referrer. The I will get free shipping on one item. Usually, you just pay to ship the items you send. I can’t really give a full review until I receive a few items. I just joined this week and have already participated in two trades. I expect to get a couple new CDs in the next week or so. (Well, new to me anyway.)

————From the Website————— Swaptree.com is an innovative new website where you can instantly trade the books, CDs, DVDs, and video games you are finished with for the ones you want, all for free. Simply list the books, DVDs, CDs, and video games you are done with and swaptree’s trade algorithms will instantly find everyone who wants those items and show you everything they are willing to trade. Best part is, you only pay for shipping, which using swaptree’s label service means you never have to go to the post office. Visit swaptree.com and see what you can get for your media collection now! http://www.swaptree.com/WebFrmNewUserHomePage.aspx?ReferralUserName=shauna ————
To make sure you receive emails from swaptree, add “DoNotReply@swaptree.com” to your address book or trusted sender list.
Be careful using Swaptree.com. I had 3 items that I never received. I did my part and sent out my item to the person, but NEVER received what I was supposed to. In emailing the owners of the site, their exact response was “Well, you didn’t want those items anyways, so no harm done”. Uhm, I don’t like giving away free stuff, do any of you???

I’ve been using Swaptree for over 18 months and haven’t had any problems. Great site.

I just know that some people are going to flake on me, and when they do, I give them a poor rating. Swap-bot members are partially suspended once they get a few low ratings, and then they have to fix their problems or be kicked off the site. Mostly, I’ve had a positive experience with the site.

Try paperbackswap.com.. from there you can go to a link for their dvds, cd’s. No games though. But it’s a great site.

I have been ripped off 3 times with swaptree, the support (there is none) will not get back with you or answer any questions if they do they are rude. If you go to the fourms for answers you get the bots who are rude and hateful and yes they want you to know its all right to loose your items. it has been a horrible experience for me and i wouldnt ever try it again. I have never been treated like this before.
