I joined my first matchbox swap. I just had to decorate a small matchbox and fill it with items for my swap partner. No big deal, right?
Then, guess whose name I drew? Miss U. I am not joking. Name 10 items that start with U. Can you?
Even ewe doesn’t start with U.
Anyway, I decided to try a new Etsy tool called Alchemy. It is where you request a custom item and people make bids on it.
This list is from a charm bid I got tonight. I asked for something that cost $3 and gave some specifications.

I thought this seller did a pretty good job. Still, it has been less than 24 hours, and I’d like to see what other bids I can get. These charms are cool…but it’d be even nicer to have some handmade items. (Like charms made our of polymere clay or felt.)
By the way, I’ve also made a few bids of my own. So far, most have been rejected. But, that’s okay. I like this new way to give people exactly what they want.
Update: I accepted the bid above, and added a few other things. Inside the box, I wrote some words that started with U, and I also stuck in a picture of a Ukulele.
