I live in a small-ish kind of town, and one of my weekly thrills is checking my number at
Bi-Mart on Tuesdays. If you don’t know what Bi-Mart is, it is a store that sell household goods, pharmaceuticals, outdoor supplies, electronics, and more. You have to have a membership card ($5 for a family for a lifetime) and your card has a number. If your number matches one one the list you can win a prize. There are two big prizes, several medium ones, and if your last number is the number of the week, you can get a small prize like a bag of candy or a box of tissues. I’ve won several coffee cake mixes over the last year.
Well, I didn’t win today. But I did pick up some pre-printed pillowcases. These are plain, white pillowcases with roses printed on them in blue ink that washes out when washed. I embroider the roses in red and green and then wash and iron them.
I picked up some embroidery floss last week at the Heart of the Home craft store here in Pendleton. It is a deep red variegated floss that will look great in those roses. I’m actually excited to see how they turn out. Stay tuned. I’ll let you know.
